A scene was created in Lagos by wives of some staff of Egin Power Station who called for the release of their husband with a protest.

MyNigeria.com learnt that their husbands were banned from going home due to COVID-19 pandemic. They were told to stay in the office and work or go home and become jobless.

Their wives who haven't seen them in weeks stormed the estate where they are housed and issued a threat that further action will be taken if they are not released after 25 hours.

"Release our husbands for us. There is no Coronavirus", the women cried out while protesting at the gate of the estate.

One of the women stated that she wants her husband to come home because she misses sex.

A source who spoke to newsmen said: "The wives are protesting for the management of the power holding company to let their husbands come home.

"The electricity company has been privatised now. The Asians in charge call the shots and they have given them a choice. Either stay back and work or go home and be jobless."
