A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has said Lt. Yarima has no respect for constituted authority for disrespecting FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Yarima had prevented Wike from inspecting a land in Abuja, saying he was following orders from above. He also engaged in a shouting match with Wike, an act that Igbokwe described as unacceptable. "His uniform should be removed asap," he said.
"A small military officer assaulting a lawyer, former local government chairman, former minister of state, former Governor, and now Minister of FCT and you people are clapping for the boy," he lamented.
He continued, "I stand with HE Wike. He is doing his job. The young officer is standing for someone who claimed he is the owner of the land. Why did the owner ask the young officer to go and defend him? The big Oga would have gone there to tell Wike his own side of the story. Some Nigerians can celebrate anything. A minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is doing his job, and one small boy tried to stop him? Arrant nonsense. Make una de play.

"What this small boy displayed today has a million meanings. What frightens me is the reactions here. I have been reading what some people are saying here, and I get more frightened. Who sent the small boy on this horrible mission? Of what meat is he fed? I am running away with the thinking that those lands were stolen. Take him out of the military asap. He represents evil. He was not well brought up. His so-called bravery is arrant nonsense, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. Take him out. He represents evil. We call this principle of reverse psychology.
"Is this young officer the owner of the land? Where is the real owner of the land? He had the audacity and temerity to stand face-to-face with a Minister of FCT, and we are celebrating the foolish boy who was used as a scapegoat. We play too much in this country. Let the owner of the land show his face na."
