Warner Bros has decided to postpone the release of "The Batman," due to the ravaging pandemic that has crept up on all sectors of the society, especially, film.

The new release date is October 1, 2021, instead of the initial June 25th, 2021.

Filming began at the end of January but has been placed on hold because of the coronavirus.

Batman movies typically come out in summer, a fall release should not hurt its box office performance: “Wherever Batman goes, people will follow,” Comscore senior media analyst Paul Dergarabedian said.

Baz Luhrman’s film about Elvis Presley, which was scheduled to come out October 1, 2021, was pushed back a month to make way for "The Batman," as reported by Forbes.

The yet-untitled Elvis film is what Tom Hanks was working on when he and his wife, Rita Wilson, were diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Batman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it was developed as the eleventh film in the DC Extended Universe and a reboot of the Batman film franchise.

It is directed by Matt Reeves.
