Thank you for making mistakes that made Obi leave the party - Labour Party to PDP

The Labour Party representatives at the Peoples Democratic Party, stakeholders meeting in Bauchi State thanked the PDP for making the mistakes that led to the exit of Peter Obi from the party.

In his submission, the rep said; "Your excellencies, particularly the presidential candidate of the PDP..., i bring you warm greetings from the Labour Party and to thank the PDP. Because of you we are her. If the PDP did not make the mistakes that it made, probably, the 35 strong member-elect of the Labour Party in the coming 10th assembly would not have been. so thank you."

Recall that Peter Obi was a member of the PDP and he was the running mate of Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election.

However, in 2022, Obi left the PDP. The former Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike claimed that Peter Obi left the party because of moves by some politicians in the PDP to ensure power remained in the north.

Obi joined the Labour Party and became the presidential candidate. He selected Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate.

The two received massive love from the youth across the country as their supporters were known as Obidients.

Although the two parties contested the 2023 presidential election, they both lost to Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, thereby emerging 2nd and third respectively.

Speaking at the PDP stakeholders meeting on Saturday, June 3, the Labour Party expressed their gratitude to the PDP for their mistakes that led to Obi's exit.

According to the rep, the PDP's mistakes are the reason the Labour Party have 35 member-elects in the 10th assembly.
