‘Thank you Libya’ – Simon Ekpa joyful at maltreatment of Nigerian Super Eagles

Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa has hailed Libya for the bad treatment of the Nigerian Super Eagles, who had arrived in the African country to play in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Mediterranean Knights.

However, the Super Eagles were left stranded at an abandoned airport for several hours without access to food and water.

This led the Super Eagles to withdraw from the game and return to Nigeria on Monday evening, October 14, 2024.

The Libyans claimed that their actions were in retaliation to the maltreatment they had received from the Nigerians during their last visit to the country to play a match.

In response to the incident, the self-proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic in Exile expressed gratitude to the Libyans for their actions against the Nigerians.

He wrote, “We warned them about the terrorist state of Nigeria, thank you Libyans.” In another post Ekpa wrote, “Thank you Libya for this uppercut.”

Ekpa’s excitement about the maltreatment comes after his ongoing battle with the Nigerian government over the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
