'Thank God you don't have power' - Slaps for Momodu after he said he would've sacked Wike from PDP if he had the power

Social media users have shared their thoughts following a recent comment by Dele Momodu, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the crisis in Rivers State.

Momodu, an accomplished publisher said he would have punished Minister of the Federal Capital Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike if he had the power to do so. He therefore called on the party’s leadership to take a swipe at the former Rivers State governor.

Featuring on Arise Television, Momodu said that if he had the power to be in charge of the party, he would have sanctioned Wike long ago.

He said: “If I had the power, I would have punished Wike long ago. The PDP leadership must have its reasons for keeping him while he continues to trouble the party.

“He wants to eat his cake and have it.”

The crisis between Governor Sim Fubara and his political godfather, Nyesom Wike has created a sharp divide in the state.

In a recent presser, the PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum vowed to sanction Wike at the right time for working against the PDP.

Wike had supported President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, against PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, during the February 25 election.

His comment has generated several reactions on social media
