Terrorists abduct two Kaduna APC women

Two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, Hajiya Lami Awarware Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, have been abducted by bandits.

The women were reportedly abducted along the Manini flashpoint in the troubled Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.


According to the Chairman of Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union, Ishaq Usman Kasai, the incident happened after the women leaders attended the inauguration of the state governor, Senator Uba Sani, in Kaduna on Monday.

Apart from the two APC chieftains, Kasai said scores of others were kidnapped by the hoodlums.

The abductors, according to the chairman, had yet to contact the families of the victims or any person in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, the state police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammad Jalige, had yet to respond to our correspondent’s enquiry on the incident.

Meanwhile, operatives of the Katsina State Police Command have killed two terrorists while they also rescued one Yahaya Usman who was abducted by the bandits.

The operatives also recovered one Ak-47 rifle from the terrorists.

The command spokesman, ASP Abubakar Aliyu, said on Wednesday that the incident occurred at Tani village, Bindawa Local Government Area, at about 3am on Monday.

The police spokesman said operatives “engaged the suspected terrorists in a fierce gun duel and successfully foiled the kidnap attempt and rescued the victim.”

“In the course of scanning the scene, two bodies of the neutralised suspected terrorist were recovered from the scene. During the course of investigation, the bodies were later identified to be those of one Sani Kokaya and Ummara, both of Kaita, Local Government Area of the state, notorious suspected terrorist-bandits and arm smugglers who have been on the command’s wanted list.”
