Tension spreads as military reveals those planning to scuttle Tinubu’s inauguration

Major General Musa Danmadami, the Director of Defense Media Operation of the Military High Command has warning Nigerians especially politicians against unwanted scuffle during the May 29 inauguration.

Speaking to the press, he cautioned that plans to disrupt the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect Bola Tinubu should be buried.

According to him, officers have been deployed to forestall any action either, prior, during or after the inauguration to be held on Monday, May 29.

The Defence Headquarters hinted that its plans to arrest on anyone caught trying to threaten the country during the inauguration.

On Thursday, May 4, Danmadami, maintained that there is no justification before the military that would prevent the inauguration form taking place.

He was of the view that the police are in charge of protecting lives and properties in the country, however, other security agencies are on standby to support.

Danmadami stated that the military will be on standby to address any insecurity issue that might erupt as the election has come and gone, and the winner has been declared.

“We don’t see reasons why there should be a problem during the activity. The inauguration will come and go, and nothing will happen," his statement reads in part.
