Tension as fresh leadership crisis rocks APC

Report indicates that crisis have rocked the Bauchi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the loss it suffered in the 2023 general election.

It has been gathered that the crisis has led to the call for the resignation of Bauchi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This was contained in an open letter to the Bauchi state chapter of the APC.

On Wednesday, March 29, the Bauchi state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) called for an urgent effort to be made to rescue the party chapeter.

Almustapha Zubairu, a group member who spoke on behalf of others, said that they are out to highlight the unhealthy development in the state chapter of the APC, hoping that it will draw the attention of the party leaders at the top to restore confidence, justice, trust, and respect for the party's constitution and discipline.

He said: “it’s no longer news that we collectively resolved to reject in its entirety, the Governorship election results and challenge the outcome in courts of law because the elections was marred by fraud and gross violations of electoral act and other enabling laws.”
