Adjudged to originate from animal hosts, coronavirus is not entirely new. In layman language, coronavirus is a virus that affects the respiratory system and is spread by flu-like symptoms, for example, cough.

It is known to be really potent against individuals that are old and have weak immune system. While the virus can barely survive two hours outside a human host, it could spend 7 weeks in the body of the hosts.

The original hosts for the disease are bats however snakes have been named in the mix as well.



However China is not immune to this virus. It spread like wildfire in 2002 as the authorities battled with sweeping the story of the thousands that died under the rug.

The pneumonia like virus has no cure due to the fact that it is seemingly new. It is cousins to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)



How to manage the virus is to:

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.



Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Rest a bit and take lots of fluids.
