'Tell the nation your true name' - Peter Obi dares Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has lamented that the certificate saga of President Bola Tinubu has further worsened Nigeria's reputation.

During a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, October 11, Obi said that the certificate issue has affected the average Nigerian within and outside the country.

According to him, foreigners now see all Nigerians as fraudulent and certificate forgers because of President Bola Tinubu.

He said: “Uninformed outsiders now see Nigerians as fraudsters, certificate forgers and identity thieves because of Bola Tinubu."

He further challenged Tinubu to come clear and speak the truth concerning his educational background, to save himself from further disgrace.

Peter said: "Mr Tinubu should tell the nation his true names, the school he attended, where he serve and the certificate he obtained. He must do this task once and now."

Recall that the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, had secured release of Tinubu’s education records from the CSU through a court subpoena against the disclosure by the President.

The released records, which came first on October 3, indicated that Tinubu’s 1979 CSU certificate he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was different from samples of the certificates the university issued to students that same year.
