Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has officially signed for newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City from Nottingham Forest in a permanent transfer.

The 28-year-old Nigerian forward is set to become the latest Super Eagles star at Coventry, joining fellow international Frank Onyeka as the Sky Blues prepare for their return to the Premier League. Medicals are reportedly already underway, with the club completing the agreement with Forest.

Awoniyi leaves Nottingham Forest after four years at the City Ground, where he became a key figure in the club’s return to and survival in the Premier League.

The move gives the Nigerian striker a fresh opportunity to make an impact in the top flight under manager Frank Lampard, with Coventry looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their first Premier League campaign in 25 years.
