Suspect confesses to raping 50 women, robbing 100 houses

A 46-year-old man has been arrested by the Ondo State Security Network known as the Amotekun corps after he confessed to robbing over 100 houses and using charms to rape unsuspecting female victims.

Identified as Shina Adaramola, the suspect is said to be a serial rapist and armed robber.

Adaramola was caught during the ‘Operation Clean Up’ exercise of the Amotekun corps.

According to him, he became broke and frustrated after his fiance left him for another man, days before their wedding.

“I became broke and frustrated and that was why I got involved in armed robbery which became lucrative for me.

“Whenever there is a party, I pretend to be one of the organizers. I have a special wine opener which I use to open wines only for rich people in the party. With that, I get my victims.

“I have been involved in this act for a long time since I lost everything and my landlord chased me out of his house, and my fiancé said I was not good for him anymore.

“Whenever I want to rape any woman, I always make sure I operate at night and the woman will fall for me after using charms on them. I make sure I cover the women's faces while in the act.

Ondo Amotekun Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, said the suspect would be handed over to the relevant agency for prosecution.
