The Government of the United States of Biafra has received reports that some Biafran citizens who travelled to Finland to show solidarity and support for the Prime Minister during his appeal were marginalised, threatened, harassed, and verbally and physically assaulted.

The USB Government strongly condemned such acts, which it described as unacceptable in the new nation it is building, which will be founded on Peace, Respect, Unity, Equality, Progress and Equity.

In a statement, the de facto Head of BRGIE, Ngozi Orabueze, said such actions were neither approved by the USB Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa.

"The United States of Biafra will protect its people and its territory, wherever they are. We therefore call on ANYONE affected to please send:

1. Your full account of what happened, including videos, photos, or audio evidence;

2. Names or descriptions of persons involved, date, time, and location of the incident;

3. Even if you were not directly involved but observed, heard, or felt any action, anywhere that made you uncomfortable before, during or after your visit to Finland;

"All information will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will be used for official documentation and necessary action.

"No Biafran will be left behind," she said.

Simon Ekpa is currently serving a six-year jail term in Finland for terrorism. He and his group, a faction of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), are fighting for the restoration of the defunct Biafra Republic.
