Super Eagles fall to 30th in latest FIFA ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped four places in the latest FIFA ranking for national teams.

Eric Chelle’s side have dropped from 26th to 30th in the new ranking released by football’s governing body on Wednesday, October 7.

The three-time African champions also dropped two places in Africa, from fourth to sixth on the continent.

North African giants Morocco maintained their number one spot on the continent, followed by Egypt, Senegal, Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire.

Nigeria defeated Madagascar 2-1, lost 3-0 to Guinea-Bissau and played out a 3-3 draw with Russia in their recent international matches.

World champions Spain maintained their number one spot in the world, followed by World Cup runners-up Argentina, with France, England and Portugal completing the top five in the world.
