'Stop selling your vote' - Melaye reacts as Ghanaians reject bags of rice from politician

Nigerian politician and former Senator of the Kogi West Senatorial District at the 8th National Assembly, Dino Melaye has advised Nigerian youths to stop selling their votes to politicians.

He made took to his Instagram account to dish out his words of advice while reacting to a video of Ghanaian youths rejecting bags of rice from a politician.

The Ghanaian youth from the town of Damongo were seen rejecting the bags of rice sent to them by Samuel Abu Jinapors, an NPP politician who represents their constituency in the country's parliament.

The young people also carried the bags of rice back into the Hilux that brought them, while instructing the Politician to immediately leave the vicinity with his goods.

“We need jobs and not bags of rice,” they chanted.

Melaye advised that Nigerian youths needed to grow up and equally learn from Ghanaian youths.

He wrote, “Ghanaian youths rejecting free bags of rice from politicians and demanding job creation.

“Can this happen in Nigeria? To be honest, Nigerian youths needs to grow up.”
