Stop renouncing your citizenship - FG appeals to Nigerian youths

Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, has appealed to the Nigerian youths to stop renouncing their citizenship.

Expressing his concerns, he noted that giving up your country for greener pastures is worrisome and counterproductive.

The minister made this known at the Ministerial Alignment meeting of the Presidential TaskForce on Deliverables for Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government.

According to a speech which was delivered on his behalf by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Dr. Shuaib Belgore, the Minister said the Federal government is putting in place measures that would aid the youth in productivity.

Adding that the government will set up a committee that will oversee the operations and implementation of the activities.

Aregbesola hinted that Director, Planning Research and Statistics (PRS) in the Ministry, Mr. Kabiru Ayuba would chair the committee alongside representatives of the four Services under the Ministry and other relevant officers.
