Stolen Funds: FG plans to recover £200m stashed in the United States - Malami

Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has indicated plans by the federal government to retrieve over £200 million in the United States.

According to him, the government are on a mission to recover all stolen assets that belongs to the country.

He made this known while speaking on the sidelines of the United Nations 76th General Assembly held in New York.

“We are looking at the possibility of recovering further 200m pounds among others but then, that does not mean they are not other associated assets being pursued, in terms of other countries of the world inclusive of Ireland.

The government is trying to gather international momentum associated with the processes and procedures, in terms of making things easier for countries to recover assets with ease,''Malami said.
