Speculations surround Sylva's next move after reported resignation from Buhari's cabinet

Rife speculation has surrounded the exit of Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva.

According to several reports, 58-year-old Sylva reportedly submitted his resignation letter to President Muhammadu Buhari.

There are speculations that he will contest APC's governorship primary election in Bayelsa.

But media adviser, Horatius Egua told NAN that he could not deny or confirm the resignation because he had not seen the letter,

Sylva governed the state under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, between 2008 and 2012.

Buhari appointed the politician on August 21, 2019, after dropping former minister Ibe Kachikwu.
