The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore has slammed the court order preventing the Labour Party and supporters of Peter Obi from holding a rally at Lekki Toll-Gate, Lagos.

Reports indicate that a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos stopped the Obi supporters from converging at the Toll Gate.

The Obi supporters, popularly known as Obidients had scheduled ObiDatti23 Forward Ever Rally to be held on October 1, 2022 in Lagos. They decided to converge at the Lekki Toll-Gate before proceeding to other places.

But Justice Daniel Osiagor who gave the order stated that they can pass through the facility for its rally but must not converge there.

Reacting to Justice Osiagor's order, Sowore wrote: “It is completely wrong for anyone to have gone to court to stifle a legitimate political gathering by @PeterObi supporters at #Lekkitollgate and equally dangerous that a judge gave an order stopping the gathering.

“It is a matter of time before a crazy injunction is granted that opposition groups can’t campaign in @OfficialAPCNg stronghold. I totally condemn these acts”.
