South East will vote for PDP and Atiku Abubakar not Peter Obi - Ekweremadu

Senator Ike Ekweremadu has said that the South East will vote for the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking to the press, he noted that although Peter Obi belongs to his tribe, he alongside the people of the South East cannot vote for the Labour Party flagbearer.

According to him, the south east cannot afford to throw away their votes as they doubt Peter Obi can emerge president in 2023.

Mr Ekweremadu said;

"I can assure you that South East will vote for PDP, I can guarantee that. No doubt that Peter is our son but you need to be dynamic. We ask ourselves that can Peter win the presidential election? Can the east afford to throw away their votes, Can we afford to be sentimental in matters that concern our people, our children and our future? The answer is no. So, we don't intend to do a thing which we will regret in the future."

Whiles many are calling on other to vote for Peter Obi in 2023 due to his competence and his past governorship experience. Others are not convinced he will get the votes needed to become the next president of Nigeria.
