'So he has criminal records' - Reactions as FBI says it won't release Tinubu's criminal cases until 2026

President Bola Tinubu's criminal and immigration records held by the United States won't be made public until 2026, according to authorities in some court documents.

The U.S. State Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation refused to make the records public, citing "unusual circumstances" as the reason.

The U.S. government responded to a freedom of information request by stating that even if they were to provide the records, it wouldn't be until at least January 2026.

Many Nigerians were shocked by the revelation and wonder if the president really is involved in any criminal cases.

While some individuals have expressed amusement, others are unperturbed, stating that they are aware of the President's criminal history and have been waiting for the day it will be revealed for Nigerians and the rest of the world to see.

Others voiced concern about the FBI's decision to postpone the publishing of President Tinubu's criminal history until 2026.
