On Monday, September 27, suspected hoodlums burnt down a vehicle transporting food items in Enugu State.

The incident happened at Edem junction, Ibeagwa in Enugu East Local Government Area during the sit-at-home ordered by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

According to report, the vehicle was returning from the Ugwogo end of the Opi-Enugu by-pass when the hoodlums attacked the van.

The fire service was however called to quench the fire.

A sympathiser was quoted to have said; “It’s a fairly huge loss which ought not to have occurred had our people reasoned very well before embarking on retrogressive actions such as this one.”

When the Enugu police Command was contacted, they hinted that investigations are ongoing and no live was lost in the cause of the fire.
