Minister for Aviation, Hadi Sirika Minister for Aviation, Hadi Sirika

Minister for Aviation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hadi Sirika is seeking the Federal Government's assistant in creating a University that will focus on research and development for the Aviation industry.

Sirika made this statement as a guest on Channels Television today while he was speaking about the roadmap the ministry intends to present to the Government.

The Minister decried the lack of technical expertise in the Aviation sector. As a result, he mulled the idea of an Aviation University.

You need to have knowledge. Being a pilot or engineer doesn't necessarily mean you are the best aviation manager. People ought to invest in human capacity," he said

Presenting the idea of the Aviation University, the minister said: "In our policy roadmap, we decided that Mr President approves that we create a university, that will go into research and development, and also do certain things to develop the manpower we need to run our aviation Industry.”

Sirika highlighted lack of capacity as the reason for the poor development in the aviation sector. He called on the government to provide cheap single digit loans to help boost the sector.
