Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, aka Falz, has called for a nationwide peaceful protest against the recent trends of rape and killing of the innocent in the country.

Recall that a 100 level undergraduate, Uwaila Omozuwa, was raped at a Redeemed Christian Church of God Province 10, Ikpoba Hill, Benin, on May 27 and struck on the head with a fire extinguisher by her assailants who left her for dead, MyNigeria.com reports.

A 16-year-old girl, Tina, was also shot and killed by a policeman at Iyana Oworo area of Lagos State during the week.

With many Nigerians condemning the acts, the 'Bop Daddy' called on the government to bring justice to the lost souls.

His tweet read: “It is so exhausting to see injustice continue to thrive time after time. Every time we say NOT AGAIN, and then there is a new story. Enough is enough. It’s too disheartening.

“Justice must be served for the innocent souls we keep on losing. #JusticeForTina #JusticeForUwa.”

“It is important that we as Nigerians are fearless and we are ready to challenge the government through peaceful protests.

“It’s not enough to sit in our houses and post on socials. Justice must be served,” Falz added.

Reacting to the inhumane act, the General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye sympathised with the family of the deceased, adding that he will lend a hand to the police to ensure justice is served.

He tweeted: "All I can do at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa and do everything possible working with relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. I and members of my Family condemn this act strongly and urge everyone to stay calm as we are already looking into the matter and cooperating with the police to establish the facts of the shocking incident. #justiceforuwa".
