The Minister of Labour and Employment, Simon Lalong is set to resign.

The Minister has collected his Certificate of Return from Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Court of Appeal had earlier sacked Peoples Democratic Party’s Bali Napoleon and declared Lalong as the Senator for Plateau South Senatorial Zone.

Many pundits have lamented that the courts have now become the decider if electoral duels.

A development which they say has pushed INEC to the background and which is not good for the country's democracy.
