Simi's apology to LGBTQ community labeled insincere as Adekunle Gold features in gay magazine

Singer Simi's apology to the LGBTQ community has been labeled as insincere after her husband and singer Adekunle Gold featured in a magazine which promotes homosexuality.

Simi had issued an apology yesterday over a video in which she slammed homosexuals by describing their act as unnatural.

Her comment was slammed by many homosexuals including Nigerian gay rights activist Bisi Alimi.

The singer issued an apology yesterday saying, "Nobody should have to live in fear. I carelessly and casually addressed an issue that is a matter of life and death for many. It was not my intention to hurt you, but I did and I’m sorry".

Shortly after her tweet went up, Simi was slammed as insincere by Twitter users who pointed out that her husband Adekunle Gold just featured in a gay magazine.

They also tagged the editor of the magazine who responded saying: "Hello! Please be aware I was approached by AG’s team for the cover with no idea of the simi situation! Please know I am heartbroken and I feel your anger. I am deeply sorry and will be working on fixing this."
