Sidik Suleiman hails Oba Abdul Salami Saka Ilufemiloye Amao after coronation

Sidik Abubakar Suleiman, the newly enstooled Oloye Sobaloju of the Central Region in a statement appreciated community leaders, dignitaries and the general public present at his recently held coronation on Friday, September 10, 2021.

In a statement dated Saturday, September 11 and addressed to MyNigeria he said: “I write to express my sincere gratitude for the confidence placed in me, leading to my coronation as the Oloye Sobaloju of the Central Region of Ghana.”

He also hailed the Yoruba Chief of the Central Region, Oba Abdul Salami Saka Ilufemiloye Amao for making “the Coronation the most glorious day.”

The coronation event which was held at Kasoa, a suburb in the country’s Central Region was attended by top political figures from the largest opposition party the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Community leaders from the Igbo and Yoruba Community in Ghana and the Nigerian High Commission.

They are: Yoruba Chief of the Central Region, Oba Abdul Salami Saka Ilufemiloye Amao; Igbo King of Ghana, Ezendigbo Chukwudi Ihenetu; NIDO BOT Chairman, Chief Calistus Elozieuwa; Greater Accra Yoruba community Chairman, Oloye Oyeyemi Fatuyi and Minister of the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, Mrs Esther Arewa.

The others include: National Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo; Former National Youth Organizer, Sidii Abubakar Musah and Former Parliamentary candidate of Ewutu Senya, Naa Kooyoo.

Background

Yoruba King of Kasoa Odukpong, His Royal Majesty, Oba Nai Abdul Salami Saka Ilufemiloye Amao, first Oba Alade in Ghana who is also the Paramount Chief of Yoruba Chiefs in Central Region of Ghana on Friday, September 10, 2021, conferred chieftaincy titles on four prospects who have distinguished themselves in their areas of specialization.

The four are: CEO of Next International Magazine, Chief Bayo Albert Asaolu who was conferred with the title Bobaselu of Kasoa; Politician and Youth activist, Chief Abubakar Sidik Suleiman who was conferred with the title Soba-loju of Kasoa; On-Air-Personality, Mrs Omobola Precious who was conferred with the title Yeye Oge of Central Region and musician Chief Muri thunder who was conferred with the title Amuludun of Fuji worldwide.

The colorful ceremony which was held at the Sara-boff hotel, American Junction down Kasoa was well attended by the general public.

Words of thanks and praise are due to the Yoruba Chief of the Central Region, Oba Abdul Salami Saka Ilufemiloye Amao for making Our Coronation the most glorious day.

My profound gratitude also goes to the Igbo King of Ghana Ezendigbo Chukwudi Ihenetu, the national chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)- Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the former national youth organizer and aspiring organizer – Sidii Abubakar Musah, the former PC of Ewutu Senya – Naa Kooyoo and her husband.

Your presence created a venue that was unparalleled. I am most grateful for taking time off your busy schedules and coming wholeheartedly to support with every effort, making the event a success.
