Former Senator representing Kaduna Central Shehu Sani has advised the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubakar, to stop being vocal with criticism or risk getting attacked.

Sani stated this in reaction to a statement by the Sultan who stated that hunger and poverty kills people in the North more than coronavirus.

The Sultan who spoke at the first quarterly meeting of Nigeria Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) in Abuja, stated that the situation being faced in the North is worse than the deadly coronavirus.

Sani who reacted to the statement took to Twitter with a post in Pidgin English which when translated to English language reads: “Please your Highness Sultan stop talking about hunger in Nigeria so they don’t come for you.

“So they won’t say you are the contortionist or what do they call it. As they returned home in anger, make sure you just chill.”

This comes after Muhammadu Sanusi II, who is known to be very vocal about the poor state of the North, got dethroned as the Emir of Kano on Monday.
