Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has revealed why protesters often run away during their demonstrations.
This was after some netizens mocked Sowore, who was seen running away following gunshots fired at protesters by the police in Abuja on Monday.
Sowore and others had gathered to stage a protest seeking the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu is being held by the Department of State Services (DSS) and is facing charges bordering on terrorism and treasonable felony.
At the protest ground, Sowore could be seen, according to a video, running away while shots were being fired to disperse the protesters.
According to Sani, Sowore's action is not cowardice but the application of wisdom.
He shared on X, "A Protester who runs away is not being cowardly, he is being wise. It's better to live to fight another day. Facing an armed Policeman on the 20th day of the month, since the last time he received his salary, required some form of dodging strategy."
