Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has said US President Donald Trump calling Somalia garbage is worse than what he said about Nigeria.

MyNigeria reported that Trump called Nigeria a disgraced country for allowing the killing of Christians by Islamic jihadists like Boko Haram, ISWAP and Fulani militants

Recently, Trump also described Somalia as garbage, amid calls for the deportation fo Somalia living in the US.

Reacting, Shehu Sani shared on X, "What Trump said about Somalia is actually worse than what he said about Nigeria and South Africa.How can a World leader call a dignified people 'Garbage' and even say their country 'stinks'?; this is unconscionable and undoubtedly racist.Praises for Oil rich Arab gulf states and slander for sub Saharan black countries is unacceptable."

In other news, lawmakers in the US have been told during a House of Appropriation briefing that Sharia law fuels Christian persecution in Nigeria.

The lawmakers were also informed of how Christians are jailed and lynched unjustly by Islamic mob in the West African country.

The lawmakers are expected to submit a report to Trump, which will inform his decision on actions to stop the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
