Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has backed the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, who said the Christmas Day bombing of terrorists in Sokoto by the United States government is a welcomed development.

MyNigeria reported that during her visit to Washington, DC, where she was acknowledged by US President Donald Trump, Tinubu expressed a desire to see more such interventions against terrorists.

‎“The intervention of the U.S. was quite a welcome development.

‎“Nigeria is looking forward to collaboration” with the U.S. on security issues. “We are expecting that there will be more,” Tinubu told Fox News.

Her words were immediately kicked against by some extremist muslims who described her as someone against the Islamic faith.

Reacting, Shehu Sani shared on X, "The December Air Strikes against bandits and terrorists in the North was a welcome development. More strikes by our Air Force are needed against those mass murderers, rapists and kidnappers. What Senator Remi said is right. I don’t know why some people are attacking her in view of the heinous atrocities of those terrorists."
