Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the disparities in the letters the Supreme Court received from the Chicago State University (CSU) on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate.

At the hearing on Monday, October 23, Justice Okoro, chairman of the 7-member panel, said criminal matters must be proved beyond reasonable doubt.

President Bola Tinubu's legal team has maintained that his academic records are authentic and duly certified by the Chicago State University.

He said: “But in this case, there are two conflicting letters from the CSU – one authenticating the president’s certificate and another discrediting it. Which do we rely on?”

In his humorous reaction, Senator Sani urged the Justices of the apex court to go into fasting for three days, and God will reveal the authentic letter.

Reacting via his X handle, Senator Sani wrote: “If the Supreme Court received two conflicting letters from Chicago, the best thing for them is to go into fasting for three days, on the third day God will show them the genuine one in a dream. We are a prayerful nation.”
