Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has publicly praised his fifth wife, Laila Charani, amid his ongoing marital controversy with actress Regina Daniels.
Nwoko, who has been at the center of public debate following videos showing tension with Regina, posted a lengthy message on Wednesday, December 3, describing Laila as “mature, gentle, and kind.”
According to the senator, Laila prefers privacy and deliberately avoids engaging in online drama. He noted that she has never been one to chase attention or respond to social media criticism.
“In a world where noise travels faster than truth, I want to speak about the woman I know and cherish. Laila is not someone who lives on social media. She prefers a peaceful and private life,” he wrote.
Nwoko added that his Moroccan wife is “thoughtful, patient, respectful, and caring,” and often chooses understanding even when she is misunderstood. He described her as a woman of “quiet strength” who maintains her composure during difficult moments.
He also expressed concern over what he described as “false assumptions” being circulated online, insisting that they do not reflect her true character.
“Her strength does not shout. Her goodness does not need an audience. She remains true to who she is,” Nwoko stated.
The senator further vowed to defend and stand by Laila, describing her as a source of stability in his life.
Nwoko’s tribute comes at a time when his family has been embroiled in public controversy, with allegations and counterallegations involving his sixth wife, Regina Daniels, dominating social media discourse.
