Nigerian duo Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams featured prominently as Sevilla stunned Spanish champions Barcelona over the weekend.
After six wins and one draw in La Liga this season, the Rojiblancos sent the title holders to the cleaners with a remarkable 4-1 thrashing at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Former Barcelona forward Alexis Sánchez gave Sevilla the lead from the spot against his former employers in the 13th minute, before Isaac Romero gave the home side a two-goal cushion in the 36th minute.
Marcus Rashford pulled a goal back for Hansi Flick's men on the stroke of halftime to give them hope of another possible comeback, as they've been noted for since the German tactician took over the reins of the Catalan club.
However, Robert Lewandowski's miss from the spot kick proved costly, as the home side breached Barcelona's trademark high line to add two more goals in stoppage time and secure their first win over the Catalans in a decade.
From the Nigerian perspective, Chidera Ejuke and Akor Adams were the architects of Sevilla's last goal, after the former set up the latter for an easy tap-in, having breached Barcelona’s high defensive line in the 96th minute of the game.
