Serie A: Osimhen doubtful for Bologna clash

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is in a race against time to recover from an injury ahead of Napoli's next Serie A match against Bologna on Saturday, May 11.

The 25-year-old reportedly sustained a knock during Napoli's recent game against Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium on Monday, May 6.

Osimhen, who scored for his team in the 51st minute of the match, was forced to leave the pitch in the 87th minute after being on the receiving end of a bad tackle. He received medical attention following the incident.

According to reports from Fantamaster, it is unlikely that Osimhen will be fit to play in the upcoming matchday 36 fixture due to a severe knee problem.

This season has been challenging for the reigning African Player of the Year, as injuries have hampered his performance.

Despite this, Osimhen has managed to score 15 goals in 23 Serie A appearances for Napoli, although this is ten goals fewer than his tally from last season.
