Nigerian forward Samuel Chukwueze ended his goal drought after finding the back of the net in AC Milan's 3-1 win over Hellas Verona in the Serie A on Sunday, March 17.

The 24-year-old scored a belter from inside the penalty box three minutes after replacing Noah Okafor in the second half.

It was the Super Eagles stars' first Serie A goal of the season, after having endured a difficult start to the season since joining the Serie A giants from Villarreal in the Spanish La Liga.

Speaking after the game, Chukwueze promised to work hard and make more positive impact for Milan.

“These first few months have not been easy, I continue to work hard. I trust the coach and his plans for me, I just have to stay focused and continue with the hard work,” he was quoted by DAZN.

The 24-year-old has featured in 17 league games for the Rooseneri, as per Dailypost
