If you have ever wondered why a lot of Nigerian doctors are relocating abroad to work, you need not go far to get your answer because what you're seeking is right here in the testimony of a Nigerian doctor that relocated to the Middle East.

Identified as @Wakawaka_doctor on twitter, the doctor revealed that he worked two separate jobs as a Nigerian doctor, seeing circa 100-120 patients daily while receiving a total amount of N180,000 on a monthly basis.

However, the better part of his story came after he relocated to Saudi Arabia and got a job at the Ministry of Health where he had the liberty to discuss his new pay.

He revealed in the tweet that he was shocked when asked to discuss his new pay.

"I went for Job interview, Ministry of health, Saudi. After the interview, I was asked," he tweeted.

"Can we discuss salary?" I was confused. I mean I was paid 100 naira per hour in my previous job."

He added afterward that he "cried after receiving a cumulative of 4 months salary"

The doctor also revealed that he now earns a monthly salary of $4,500 with about 5-7 patients daily, adding that he is tax-free.
