President-elect, Bola Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria eight days to his inauguration.

The president-elect arrived on Saturday, May 20, after spending a week in France.

It was reported that Tinubu travelled to Europe on May 10 for medical treatment and would return before his inauguration on May 29.

However, in a statement released by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman, Tinubu will use the opportunity of the trip to plan his transition, programs, and policy options with some of his key aides without unnecessary pressures and distractions.
