Students of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has hit their campus and someparts of the streets today, September 6, 2023, to protest over the increment of their school fees.
Last week, a group, Student Solidarity Group Against Fee Hike, disclosed that they will not allow the school system to increase their fees amid the harsh economic conditions they are currently facing in the country as students.
Videos circulating on social media however reveal that the peaceful protest has been marred by the police throwing tear gas at the students and driving them away.

Peace protesters are being arrested and attacked in Unilag. We are not thugs, neither are we criminals. We only want to use our voice to demand for justice. #FeesMustFall #Revertfees #Unilag pic.twitter.com/vzyjw29Vym
