Samson Siasia reveals two key reasons he’s ready to return as Super Eagles coach

Samson Siasia has expressed his readiness to return as head coach of the Super Eagles amid the NFF's search for the next gaffer to take charge of the three-time African champions.

Siasia was found guilty of bribery and match-fixing allegations in 2019 and was slapped with a lifetime ban from all football related activities.

The 57-year-old had his ban reduced to five years after he appealed at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

Siasia, who has finished serving his ban was asked about his rumoured links to the vacant role at the Super Eagles and he came out with the following.

"Of course, I'm ready. I did some refresher coaching courses online. I am following up on the Coaches Association because I am registered there. I did my coaches license in America, so I'm taking some courses there too. I can't just sit there and be dormant, the former Super Eagles striker noted.

"I made the effort to go and watch the Nations Cup, nobody took me there. I even spoke to the president of NFF to support me financially or buy me a ticket to and watch but they didn't even answer me."
