Sam Larry was arrested at MMIA – Police source reveals

Details of the arrest of music executive, Sam Larry who is linked to the death of late Singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has been revealed to a section of the media.

Recall that the Lagos State Police Command late Thursday night confirmed the arrest of a controversial Lagos socialite over an ongoing investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of Mohbad

According to a police source who spoke on condition of anonymity, Sam Larry was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday evening.

He said, “Sam Larry was arrested at the airport after he arrived from Kenya. Our officers arrested him at the airport and he was immediately taken to the state police headquarters for questioning.”

Sam Larry has been fingered over the death of Mohbad and his name has featured prominently since the justice over Mohbad gained traction.

His arrest also came after late Mohbad’s former music label boss, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley announced his plan to return to Nigeria provided his safety was guaranteed.

The PUNCH reports that the police had earlier invited the duo for questioning over Mohbad’s demise.

The police, last week, also confirmed that pathologists have concluded the autopsy conducted on Mohbad, while the police await the result.

Hundeyin said, “Autopsy has been concluded. Awaiting results.” This development followed the exhumation of Mohbad’s corpse by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force and health officials.

The police had also arrested the nurse who reportedly injected the deceased singer before his demise on Tuesday, September 12.
