Rufai Oseni reacts to plans by anonymous group threatening to 'wipe out his entire family'

Popular broadcast journalist, Rufai Oseni has reacted to a recent threat by an anonymous group on his life and that of his family.

Oseni who is known for his hard-hitting questions clashed with Ayo Fayose, a former Ekiti governor on the morning show on Thursday, March 23.

The heated argument between both men led to several reactions on social media.

It is unclear if the clash with Fayose led to the threat to his life.

The group in a post on its Facebook page wrote: "A name was today Mentioned, Rufai Oseni, we’ve got absolutely no idea who this man is, but his name was mentioned today. A plan is in place to invade his home. Getting the entire family wiped off is the target. The said man must be made to know the situation."

"He must be on guard. Mr Obi P.G arrest is getting closer. Remember the names mentioned in the previous Expositions and you must not forget We are Anonymous. We are legion. We do not Forgive. We do not Forget. Expect us"

Reacting to the threats, Rufai on the What's Trending segment of the morning show on Arise TV said: "I mean I see a lot of these things from time to time and like I will also say they are a reporting channel. I mean, this is a reporting channel and I am sure those in authority are seeing this."

"And why is all this going on because I do my job the way it is and I stand for the tenets of objectivity? It's not only this, I have seen a lot of attacks against me and I am never the center of the story but the truth has to be told. I just want good media and elevate good media."
