Arise Television co-anchor, Rufai Oseni has taken to his social media page to rant over some prevailing issues in the country.

In a series of posts, Oseni described the ruling government as selfish, adding that they don’t care about the citizens.

He tackled the senators for spending a whooping sum of 160m Naira to purchase foreign vehicles while ignoring the made in Nigeria cars.

His comment comes at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with economic hardship, the unguided announcement of fuel subsidy removal and mounting unemployment.

The award-winning journalist suggested that the President should be made to ride in a car made in Nigeria as well as his minister.

He wrote on his X page on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

“Our senators now compare themselves with local government chairmen because they want to buy cars.

Our senators don’t have feelings for the poor Nigerians.

Our senators are selfish.

Our senators don’t want the growth of made in Nigeria cars.

Our senators don’t care about Nigerian industries.

Our senators don’t care about the Naira.

Our senators prefer to develop the Japanese economy.

Our senators can’t sacrifice for Nigeria.

After prayers in their bank account they still want to buy 160m Naira car.

Our senators don’t care about the misery index of Nigeria.

Also Minister shouldn’t be using all the exotic cars.

All ministers must be made to use Nigeria made cars.

The president of Nigeria must also drive Nigeria made car and not other brands.

Our leaders don’t care, they are too selfish.”
