Rivers state residents escort former Governor Wike back to his house

Residents of Rivers state were earlier seen on the streets escorting immediate past governor, Nyesom Wike to him home.

This occurred after he handed over to the new Governor of River state, Siminialayi Fubara.

In a video making rounds, Wike was seen in the company of his wife as he throng the streets to bid the residents goodbye.

Several residents gathered amid loud cheers as they wave at the outgone Governor of the state.

Nyesom Wike served Rivers state for eight years under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

The fearless outgone governor was known for his tough character who always spoke his mind.
