Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has thrown his weight behind the candidature of Kingsley Chinda in Rivers state governorship race.

Expressing his support on Tuesday while interacting with newsmen, Wike said a good product markets itself.

According to him: “Everybody knows that Kingsley Chinda is the material. He’s quite experienced.

“He has worked with the executive and is now in the legislature. I am sure he must have been approached by the APC to join them and then get the ticket.”

DAILY POST recalls that Chinda emerged winner of the APC governorship primary election of Rivers State ahead of the next year’s general elections.

This was after the incumbent governor Sim Fubara, the 2023 APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole and others withdrew from the party’s primaries.
