A video has surfaced showing the National Security Adviser, NSA Nuhu Ribadu, and former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, snubbing each other at a burial ceremony they attended.

Also in attendance was former vice president Atiku Abubakar and other northern dignitaries.

However, MyNigeria could not confirm whose burial ceremony it was that the leaders attended.

During the ceremony, the leaders all prayed side-by-side in the Islamic way and exchanged greetings afterwards.

MyNigeria noticed that after Ribadu shook hands with Atiku, he refused to proceed further as that would mean he would shake hands with El-Rufai who also refused to extend a handshake towards the NSA's direction.

Both men have been in the news of later after El-Rufai accused Ribadu of masterminding the Senate rejection of his ministerial nomination.

Speaking in Arise TV, El-Rufai said, "He wants to be the president in 2031, so he is determined to eliminate any of us who he sees as an obstacle to his ambition.

“Just last week, I got an information that Ribadu is asking everyone to get me indicted by whatever means.”

Reacting, Ribadu denied having a presidential ambition, just as he urged the former governor to allow him concentrate on his job as NSA.

He said,“For the avoidance of doubt, I want to put it on record that I have never discussed running for president in 2031 with anybody.

“All my focus and energy are directed entirely toward the advancement of Nigeria and the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

“I, therefore, ask Nasir El-Rufai to allow me to focus on my onerous national assignment, just as I do not concern myself with his own affairs.”
