Dr Reuben Abati, a host of Arise TV on Wednesday, May 24 offered outgoing Benue Governor, Samuel Ortom a job as a freelance panelist on the station if he is willing to take up a role in journalism.

Ortom, a chieftain of the PDP will exit public service after he lost his senatorial bid in the 2023 elections.

He lost the Benue North-west Senatorial seat to his former aide, Titus Zam, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Dr Abati who was speaking about the G-5 Governors enquired if the governor would relish the opportunity to be a freelance panelist on the station.

"Two quick questions, I was going to ask from you what is there for you in the future. With the ease at which you quote bible passages, one will think the plan is to become a pastor, you already talked about the possibility of going to the farm"

"You talked about the possibility of being a freelance journalist which is nice, with board approval, I will like to have you as a panelist in ThisDay Live if you have the time. It is a job offer which you may consider," Abati asked.
