Residents of Lagos are currently scooping premium motor spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, from a crashed tanker at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa, Lagos.
A video that went viral on social media on Monday shows residents scooping up the petrol leaking from the tank that collapsed onto the bridge.
Such an incident in the past led to an inferno that killed people in their hundreds.
According to an update reaching MyNigeria, the Lagos State emergency management team, led by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, has already responded to the situation, dispatching personnel to the scene.
Also, security agencies have been directed to carefully disperse the crowds under the bridge. More updates will follow.
