Relevance is not when you appear on Arise TV - Wike schools Channels TV reporter on his political relevance

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says he remains relevant in the PDP despite not playing an active role in the party’s campaign ahead of the February 25 presidential elections.

Wike. who is at loggerheads with the National Leadership of the Party believes he remains relevant to the party, his state and Nigeria.

He further dismissed the suggestion that relevance can be equated to him granting television interviews.

He made this known in an exclusive interview with Channels Television.

“Mention anybody that is more relevant than governor Wike in the PDP.”

“If I am not relevant, why are they looking for me? How many presidential candidates have come to see me if I am not relevant?”

“It is not to appear on Arise Television that makes you relevant, it is not to appear on Channels that makes you relevant, who is going to command who has the followers to give the votes.”
